Sydney Bachata Festival 2008

 Rodney Aquino will be teaching bachata workshops all over the Sydney area for a period of one week. He is also invited to teach at the Sydney Bachata Festival 2008. It’s going to a full week of bachata workshops.The Sydney Bachata Festival started off as a one night party which soon grew to a two night event with 12 workshops from Sydney’s finest instructors and several international bachata dance stars.

Rodney “Rodchata” Aquino is a popular and entertaining dance instructor in the United States. Solely responsible for popularizing bachata dance in San Francisco, Rodchata, as bachateros intimately calls him, has been in the dance scene for over 13 years. His dance background includes Latin International Ballroom, salsa (on1, on2 and Cuban Timba), chachacha, merengue and bachata. He had his first bachata encounter in the East Coast 6 years ago. He had been dancing bachata and studying the culture ever since. He was the first instructor to ever teach a bachata class in San Francisco. He is the founder of the popular salsa website, Salsagang.com, Lalunaclubs.com and CEO of Rodchata Enterprises. Since creating Salsagang, he had the opportunity to teach the bachata dance at big salsa events such as San Francisco International Salsa Congress, Reno Dance Sensation, Sonoma County Salsa Fest, Salsa Extravaganza (Palm Springs), Summer Splash (Palm Springs), North West Salsa Congress (Seattle), Chico Dance Sensation, Sacramento Salsa Fest, Hawaii Dance Sensation and Dallas Salsa Congress. Rodney Aquino to teach Bachata workshops in Hawaii

On the weekend of December 19-23, 2007, the people at Hawaii Dance Sensation are bringing and flying Rodchata for to teach his popular Bachata Dance Workshops!

Solely responsible for popularizing bachata dance in the Bay Area, and a contributor to the exposure of the bachata dance in United States, Rodney “Rodchata” Aquino is a popular and entertaining Latin dance teacher in the United States. He is the founder of Salsagang.com, Rodchata.com, iTimba.com and CEO of Rodchata Enterprises. He had been dancing and teaching Latin dance for 13 years and is considered to be the foremost authority in bachata dancing. He holds a Masters Degree in Psychology, a certified Personal Fitness Trainer and holds 4th Degree Black Belt in the Martial Arts.

He will be teaching Basic to Advance Bachata Workshops:

Level 1 -Intro to Bachata Dance Styles

You’ll learn basic movements of the different styles of bachata. What is the traditional, original and modern style of bachata; You’d learn basic drills and exercises to help you build a good foundation in these dances. Learn when to tap and when to bump. Learn timing. Learn some of the original bachata moves, Dominican style.

Level 2 – Bachata Progressive

Keeping the Dominican syle in mind, Proper Connection is a must! You will learn the secret of leading and following. Learn to use the whole dance floor. Advance movements with body rolls, shoulder rolls and hip shakes. Learn Close Range motion with sexy moves. Learn creative advance and modern moves. When to pause during the music. When to apply certain moves during a dance and much more. How to dance good bachata while not moving a single step – and much more!

Rodchata To Teach Bachata Basics at Glas Kat on December 11, 2007

The bachata class has changed from December 18 to December 11 since Rodchata will be teaching bachata workshops at the Hawaii Dance Sensation on the week of December 18.

But on December 11, Rodchata will be teaching bachata at Glas Kat in San Francisco plus 2 hours of bachata dance social upstairs!

Bachata Dance Training in San Francisco

Most of the Bachata Dance they teach you at the clubs or at the studio has no Dominican style based whatsoever! Beginning on July 16, 2008 (and every Wednesday), I am inviting every bachateros/ras from all levels to learn, practice and train with the Dominican to Modern Styles of Bachata. Starting or re-setting your bachata style of dancing is the best foundation you’ll ever have.

This is your opportunity to train with me once a week. If you ever wanted to be better at your bachata dancing, this is your window of opportunity.
